Budget 2019/20

Newbiggin by the Sea Town Council has fixed its Budget for 2019/20.

Following a full debate at the Town Council meeting held 16th January 2019 it was agreed to slightly increase the current Budget of £282,641 by £7,340 to £289,981 to ensure the same level of local and enhanced services in the town and continue regeneration projects.

After subsequently agreeing a contribution of £35,000 from balances the Precept was set at £254,981 and the County Council has advised that the Property Base this year is 1433.75 Band D equivalents. The calculations result in the following Precept breakdown:

Band A    £118.56     weekly increase 24 pence 

Band B    £138.32     weekly increase 28 pence

Band C    £158.08     weekly increase 33 pence

Band D    £177.84     weekly increase 37 pence
