Attlee Play Area re-opened

Today the popular Attlee Play Area has re-opened following a major refurbishment.  The refurbishment has taken longer than expected due to contractor delays and poor weather over the last two weeks but we are pleased it is ready for the enjoyment of the children over the remainder of the summer holidays.

The £57,531 refurbishment scheme included a new pirate ship, a see-saw, two x new springers, two x new diggers and the relocation of the sand pit.  The safety surfacing was upgraded to wet pour too.

All of the new equipment in inclusive and accessible to all children.

The play area is not quite complete with weeding still required but this will be done when the summer holidays are over.
