Youth Provision Model – Active Northumberland

Active Northumberland are currently trying to improve and diversify community provision for the young people of Newbiggin and have launched a number of sports clubs out of Newbiggin Sport & Community Centre. These sessions aim to offer more “affordable clubs”, as recent consultation has found that the young people of Newbiggin feel they do not have enough things happening for them in their community (particularly during term time). We currently have the Youth Service, Newbiggin Town Council and Street Games as partners and hope to create a strong “Youth Provision Model” for Newbiggin which we hope could then be replicated in other areas of Northumberland.
