Painting of Street Lighting Columns

Newbiggin by the Sea Town Council have commissioned Northumberland County Council to paint some of the street lighting columns in the town.

The lights that are to be painted include:

• the hertigate lights on Front Street,
• the heritage lights at the Church Point car park, and
• 6 x lighting columns on the promenade that have been replaced over time and do not match the existing colour scheme.

Northumberland County Council have applied an anti-rust undercoat and are in the process of applying a fresh coat of paint to smarten up the columns for this town centre improvement scheme. It is expected that the works will be complete by the 26th June.
