CONGRATULATIONS to AFC Newbiggin, winners of the 2022 NORTHUMBERLAND FA STELRAD MINOR CUP FINAL
AFC Newbiggin 1 Newcastle East End 1 (AFC Newbiggin win 12-11 on penalties)

Goalless at the break, Bradley Higgins afforded Newbiggin the lead just after the hour, before the same player would miss a penalty, minutes later.
With the game looking like a 1-0 result, Newcastle East End equalised, in stoppage time, when Jack McNally pounces on a rebound to score; the same player then missed a golden chance immediately after to win it, but the final went to penalties.
As for the shoot-out, it would be Newbiggin’s night, they eventually succeeding, 12-11, from the spot, to claim the trophy.
