Presentation to AFC Newbiggin

On the evening of Thursday 1st June 2023, Councillor Alison Sutherland, Mayor of Newbiggin By The Sea, accompanied by Councillor Fiona Rowley, Deputy Mayor of Newbiggin By The Sea, visited AFC Newbiggin under 13s during their training session at Welfare to present them with a donation of £30,000.

The £30,000 donation to AFC Newbiggin from Newbiggin Town Council was agreed several years ago and remained ring fenced within our accounts. We are delighted to see the club will have facilities they need and have waited so long for. AFC Newbiggin are looking forward to returning to their home ground for season 2023/2024.

The Under 13s are Northumberland Football League Division 6 Champions and Northumberland FA County Trophy Final Winners.

The Senior Reserves are North Northumberland League Champions, Andersons Cup Final Winners and Robson Cup Final Winners.

First team have secured their place in the Premier Division for next season.
