Coming Soon to Central Park Play Area
Newbiggin by the Sea Town Council has appointed Wicksteed Leisure to install a brand new Toddler to Primary age feature area within Central Park Play Area.
This play area is popular for the local children being in close proximity to Newbiggin Family Hub, Grace Darling Primary and is in the centre of our town.
This area will replace the roundabout and the equipment that was removed early in the summer. It will feature:
- a train, bringing back nostalgic memories of the Newbiggin Railway line,
- a ticket office, and other imaginative play boards,
- an Old King Cole multiplay unit,
- a tootin train seesaw,
- a train springy,
- hotscotch graphics, and
- a couple of addition seats
Work is due to commence in the coming weeks.
Councillor Alison Sutherland commented, ‘we are delighted to be working with Wicksteed Leisure to bring this colourful and attractive play equipment to Newbiggin to get our children outdoors, active, and using their imagination‘.
