Farewell and good luck
We say goodbye to Elaine Brown, who has served as Newbiggin by the Sea Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer since 2021.
Elaine joined the Newbiggin Town Council in 2017 as Deputy Clerk, Elaine has 17 years experience in the sector and is an advanced qualified Clerk.
Elaine commented “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with the Newbiggin Town Council and serving the community, it’s such a rewarding role, it’s made so by the people you meet”.
Cllr Alison Sutherland, Mayor of Newbiggin by the Sea commented “As the tides change in Newbiggin by the Sea, so too do the chapters in our town’s story. Today, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Elaine Brown. Elaine’s dedication, hard work, and passion for our community have left an indelible mark on the heart of Newbiggin. Under her role as Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer, we’ve witnessed incredible progress and unity within our community. It’s with a mix of sadness and gratitude that we say goodbye to Elaine”.
