Beach Works Update
Important Beach Works Update for Newbiggin by the Sea Residents!
Planned beach works for Newbiggin by the Sea have been confirmed and will commence on Monday, 24th June 2024.
Work will take place Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm. During this period, vehicles will be stored in a fenced-off compound within the Church Point car park overnight. Please note that the compound will be located in the coach car park section, making this area unavailable for public and coach use.
For your safety, contractors on site will have banksmen to ensure members of the public cannot access any immediate areas where work is taking place. However, we kindly ask everyone to be aware of the ongoing works and exercise caution in the area.
The works scheduled on the beach as follows:
Two days around the Horse Shoe steps area to the Southern part of the bay
Three days towards the Northern part of the bay, near the Maritime Centre
Further updates will be provided once received. We should have an update regarding the sand removal from the Promenade soon and will share this information as soon as it is received from Northumberland County Council.
