Welcome to our New Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer
Residents of Newbiggin by the Sea, I would like to introduce our new Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer, Leanne Lawson. Leanne has been an integral part of our community since she joined us in December 2021 as the Assistant Clerk and Projects Co-ordinator. Her diverse experience in the NHS, retail, and hospitality sectors has equipped her with a unique skill set and a profound commitment to serving our town. A wealth of experience and a passion that aligns perfectly with our town’s spirit and values.
Leanne has already had the opportunity to work with many of you and looks forward to building on this and working with many more. She has expressed her admiration for the incredible spirit that defines Newbiggin by the Sea. She believes, as we all do, that our town is not just a place, but a vibrant community filled with dedicated residents and a warmth that makes everyone feel at home. Whether you are a long-time resident or a visitor who has fallen in love with our beautiful town, your contributions make Newbiggin stronger and more united.
I want to share her sentiments about stepping into this new role.
