Newbiggin Town Council has taken over provision and maintenance of public seats throughout the town.
Four new picnic tables were installed at the Church Point in 2017 in conjunction with a disabled access path and handrails to the steps at the end of the promenade.
There are over 120 public seats in Newbiggin by-the-Sea and the Town Council is grateful to those families that have dedicated a seat in memory of a loved one. A dedicated seat service is also available for any person wishing to contribute to new seat provision in locations approved by the County Council.
