WOODLAND LITTER PICK

Meet on Oakwood Avenue at 1pm and we will start shortly after. Litter pickers and bags will be provided but please bring gloves if you have them.

The woodland has been a site for fly tipping so bring your phones so we can photograph any fly tipping and use google maps to show the council where they need to go.

AFTER LITTER PICKING:

Our lovely organisers have procured wildflower seeds as part of Grow Wild and would like to add some colour to the woodland to enhance biodiversity. Please join us to plant some wildflower seeds – and if you have hand tools, please bring them.

In addition, if you have kids, bring them along to the litter pick and at the end, they will get to put some flower seeds in an egg cup with compost to take home to replant in their garden or a pot. We will have a limited number of skyscraper sunflowers (approximately 20) and some forget-me-not seeds.

As indicated by the name, skyscraper sunflowers grow very tall! There are multiple blooms on each plant and kids love them.
