If you haven’t seen it why not treat yourself to an hour or so in the company of Newbiggin’s finest. The extraordinary, brave, funny, hard-working, sometimes tragic people of our coal mining past.

This is a truly wonderful, life-enhancing exhibition about great people many whom we knew & may be related to. Everyone leaves it glowing, understanding more about Newbiggin, appreciating this warm, lovely community even better.

Then there’s the kind generous hospitality of Mary & Bob Dodds – and Mary’s great cakes.

Newbiggin Community Activity Centre everyday 1-4pm till Sunday – then it all gets packed away….
