New Speed Indicator Devices for Newbiggin by the Sea

Newbiggin by the Sea Town Council has this week installed new Speed Indicator Devices at the entrances of the town and replaced the unit on Woodhorn Road outside STB Autos.

The purpose of the devices is to slow traffic down in Newbiggin by the Sea by making drivers aware when they are driving at speeds above the legal limit.  Reducing drivers speeds is proven to improve safety and reduce the risk of accidents.

In developing the scheme, the Town Council has worked with Northumberland County Council Highways Department and Unipart Dorman.
