Public toilets – Asset Transfer Cancelled

At a meeting of the Town Council held 15^th September, members agreed unanimously to withdraw agreement to accept an asset transfer from Northumberland County Council of the public conveniences adjacent to the Cresswell Arms.

Members did not disagree with the need for additional facilities within the Town but did agree that the safety issues regarding traffic at this site were insurmountable.  Northumberland County Council have been notified of this decision.
